The orgins of ARTtrust

ARTtrust evolved from a collaboration between Prooftag , Hewlett-Packard Company (HP) , and Wilhem Imaging Research, Inc. (WIR) .

Prooftag  is the inventor of the Bubble Tag™, a physical security feature that is impossible to reproduce in an identical way, even by its original manufacturer. It is used for brand protection as well as for documents security worldwide.
HP   is a computer technology company established in more than 170 countries throughout the world. By combining reflection with innovative ideas, HP creates more simple and more reliable technologies and services that provide answers to problems and challenges met by consumers and companies alike.
Wilhelm Imaging Research  (WIR)  is an independent laboratory that carries out research on the stability and the preservation of photographs and films made with digital or conventional techniques. WIR publishes the longevity data ("print permanence ratings") for different brands of desktop and large-format printers. WIR also works as a consultancy firm for museums, public records, and private collections, including dealing with sub-zero cold-storage for long-term conservation of films and photographs.

The security concept offer by ARTtrust was designed and developed by photographic industry experts with invaluable input from some of today’s most celebrated fine-art photographers.
