08/22/2011 - Robert Ash Photography Exhibit has Record-breaking Opening Night at State Theater of KansasAccording to the Jayhawk State Theater of Kansas’ board of directors, the Robert Ash photography exhibit at the theater’s Upstage Gallery on Friday, August 5 was by far the most successful opening night in the gallery’s history. “Our region’s art community’s enthusiasm for Robert’s work surpassed even our most enthusiastic expectations,” said Kathy Duncan, president of the State Theater’s board of directors. The widely publicized exhibit was a feature story on Kansas Public Radio, was covered by the Topeka Daily-Capital Journal and several other city newspapers in the region, and received news coverage in France and Africa. Of particular interest to art collectors and the region’s art community was Robert’s use of secure, unbreakable authentication and identification ARTtrust tags on every piece of his exhibited artwork. “Crucially important to the acceptance of digital art and digital photography as a whole in the fine art market is the issue of verifiable provenance and origin,” explains Renovato, herself a digital artist. “Many of our collectors were not familiar with secure authentication methods for digital art, but once the technology was explained to them, they considered it essential to making their investment decisions. The European Photography Organisation (EPO) is a collaboration of outstanding photography galleries throughout Europe. The network strives to create common standards with regard to the presentation, exhibition, sale and purchase of art photography. The purpose of the network is to encourage the free exchange of information and ideas in the field of photography and its market. ARTtrust was invited to present its self-certification system and Galleries gave an enthusiastic reception of it. ARTtrust, the members of EPO and Dr. Bernd Fechner (member of the German Society of Photography (DGPh)) had great and deep discussions about certification, author’s rights and issues encountered by Galleries. 11/05/2010 - ARTtrust’s conference at the Photo TradeshowARTtrust held a conference at the Images Magazine Booth on Friday, November 5th, 2010, with prestigious speakers. Bruno Barbey, famous photographer, member of Magnum since 1968 and former president of international Magnum presented its ARTtrusted book delivered in a jewel box with a signed ARTtrusted print, in limited edition, published for its last exhibition on Shangai in the gallery Lipao-Huang. Bernard Richebé, independent photographer since 1981, boarder to the Academy of France in Rome in the Villa Medicis had a particular role in ARTtrust as he participated in the first discussions about the solution, and shared its experience. Thierry Ferey, co-founder of Darqroom, officially announced his partnership and his support for ARTtrust; the members of Darqroom can henceforth benefit from the ARTtrust solution directly on the Darqroom’s website. Philippe Gassman, CEO of the laboratory PICTO used the solution ARTtrust during the exhibition " 60 years of PICTO in Arles ", particularly for the works of Jacques BORGETTO or Denis DARZACQ: " it is extremely simple, and it is today the only reliable means to guarantee the authenticity of an artwork ". 11/04/2010 - The First "ARTtrusted" Book !Today was brought to life the first book carrying ARTtrust. This book is a special limited edition of 100 copies from the latest work of Bruno Barbey from Magnum Photos about Shanghai: 3 weeks ago he was just coming back from there with no other plan than an exhibition at the Li Pao Gallery, rue Dauphine. The idea came 2 weeks ago as it appeared possible to print this book at E Center, a highly professional digital book maker, which recently bought an HP Indigo machine installed less than 10 days ago. Bruno Barbey, while not compromising to quality, has been able with a designer to deliver a 140 pages book in a record time to the printing house which in its turn prioritized this experience to be ready for the exhibition opening ceremony today in the evening. The book is delievred in a jewell box with a signed print. Both the print and the book are ARTtrusted, registered on the website and available for sale at the gallery only.
